Saturday a party at Nikolai Merkushkin took place where a lot of republican famous and honored people and celebrities were invited.  They celebrated the Day of National Unity. RIA info-RM got the information at the Heads Administration press-center. Nikolai Merkushkin addressed to the people present with the welcoming speech.

We entered very difficult and useful stage of the republic development. Today our history calls for us to unite in harmony he said.

Also he thanked everybody who took part in economical development, culture, new image of Mordovia and who supported socially unprotected people.

As they said in the press-center, the awarding ceremony also took place and people working in different spheres were thanked for their work. Among them were: Valeryi Kamolin, joint-stock company Mordovgaz director general, noble surgeon Vladimir Ipatenko, famous singers Sergei Ploduhin and Sergei Eskin, art group headed by Galina Loseva that created national costume collection, Olympic Champion Aleksei Mishin, Paraolympic Champion Ravil Bikmurzin, heads of large families and others.
