Pesticides are stored with rules breakings

Weed and pest-killer chemicals and pesticides are improperly stored in Mordovian agricultural enterprises. The fast was revealed after the inspections made by republican Prosecutors Office. Zulfia Fediakova, Federal and Regional Law Observance Control Department prosecutor, said that weed and pest-killer chemicals and pesticides were stored in impropriate rooms. For example, one enterprise kept 40 tons of agrochemcals outdoor with tare integrity broken.

 

After the inspection 67 orders to eliminate the breakings were issued, 18 people responsible were forced to disciplinary liability. 62 cases were issued on administrative delinquency. 39 legal persons and officials were forced to administrative liability. 2 applies ordering the local officials to guarantee the ecological safety and faulty chemicals utilization were sent to the jail.

 

As they said in the Office faulty chemicals were taken from 6 Mordovian areas: Bolshebereznekovskyi, Bolsheignatovskyi, Temnikoavskyi, Tengushevskyi, Torbeevskyi and Tchamzinskyi. Over 202 tons of faulty chemicals were sent to the utilization in 2007 (and 60 tons in 2006) that cost 7,900 thousand rubles to the republican budget.
