In Saransk there is the Conference of Finno-Ugrian peoples

The 26-27 of May on the base of Philological Faculty of Mordovian State university there is a Interregional Scientific Conference The interaction and interinfluence of the languages and literatures of the peoples of Povolzhie and Priuralie. In the conference near 250 employees of the sphere of education and science from Yoshkar-Ola, Cheboxary, Yaroslavl, Elabuga, Saransk and some other cities of Russia and abroad took part. There are sections in some directions, among them the language processes on the territory of  Povolzhie and Priuralie, the problems of interaction and interinfluence in the literatures of the regions, teaching languages and literatures methodologies. The special attention is paid to the specialties of the regional mass-media and PR.
